My name is Matt Krause, and I am asking for your trust and your vote on March 2nd. As a native Texan, I understand the traits that make this state the best in the nation — hard work, personal responsibility, and conservative values. As a constitutional attorney, I go to work everyday to defend the sanctity of human life, the traditional family, and religions liberties. I am often at odds with the ACLU, Planned Parenthood, and other liberal organizations who seem intent on stealing away our most cherished values and principles. My wife, Jennie, and I believe that Fort Worth is the best place to raise our son, Jeremiah, and our daughter, Hannah, and we look forward to serving the voters of District 99.

Texas is at a critical place in history. On March 2nd, we have an opportunity to elect true Conservatives who will be able to implement policies that will benefit Texans — both now and for our children’s future. My campaign offers you the opportunity to create that better future. If you place your trust in me, I promise to
fight hard for the values and beliefs that you and I share. That means that I will always vote against tax increases and efforts to enlarge government bureaucracy.
I will always vote to protect your God-given rights and liberties. And you can be assured that you will have a representative that will be there to fight for your interests — not in the pocket of lobbyists and special interests.

Again, I am asking for your support, your trust, and your vote. My campaign is focused on a philosophy of conservative principles. Together we can strengthen Texas and leave a better state, a better economy, and a better life to future Texans. Join me during this historic time, and let’s vote in Responsible Conservatism on March 2nd!

God bless,

Matt

Early Voting has already begun, and Election Day is just 11 days away. Republicans in District 99 are heading to the polls, and my campaign for Responsible Conservatism is working hard to reach every voter and spread my message of Responsible Conservatism – a better future with improved schools, well-paying jobs, fewer taxes, more efficient government, family values, and the protection of our God-given liberties. We have knocked on thousands of doors, braving snow, rain, and cold to share this message. I am asking Republicans in District 99 for their votes and for the opportunity to be their Responsible, Conservative, and Republican Representative in the Texas House of Representatives. The response from Conservatives and Republicans has been tremendous – voters are tired of government that is broken and of the career politicians that keep making things worse. Voters are ready for Fresh, Conservative, and Republican Leadership in the Texas House, and they are choosing to cast their ballot for the Responsible Conservative in House District 99: Matt Krause.

My campaign has also received support from Conservative and Republican organizations. This past week, I received endorsements from DFW Conservative Voters, the Alliance of Texans Against Government Controlled Healthcare, and the Conservative Hispanic Society PAC. These are in addition to endorsements already received from the Young Conservatives of Texas, the Tarrant County Republican Assembly, and the Concerned Women for America of Texas. My campaign also won the Tarrant County Conservative Candidate Fair and Straw Poll sponsored by the Tarrant Republican Club, 912 Project Fort Worth, the Conservative Hispanic Society, HEART of Texas Homeschool, the NE Tarrant Tea Party, and the Keller Boiling Point Tea Party. I am honored by the support given to my campaign by Conservatives and Republicans.

There was even more good news this week. The Texas State Rifle Association gave me a perfect score, an “A,” for my firm belief in Texans’ undeniable, inalienable right to keep and bear arms. A well-armed society is a secure society, and government only reduces our freedoms and our families’ safety when it infringes on our 2nd Amendment rights. I will always fight to defend our liberties.
And the Heritage Alliance announced that I received an “A” grade because of my strong economic conservative and social conservative principles. Unfortunately for my incumbent opponent, Heritage Alliance gave him – Charlie Geren – the grade of “D” because they only had 60% confidence that he would govern as a conservative. Young Conservatives of Texas have already given Charlie the dubious distinction of being one of three State Representatives to earn the “Certifiable Republican-In-Name-Only” label because of his consistent votes against Republican and Conservative principles. District 99 deserves better, which is why voters are choosing to support me as they learn about my opponents’ record. Voters are realizing that they can choose the proud Republican and proud Responsible Conservative who puts principle before politics.

This campaign is flying by, but I cannot stress enough how pleased, encouraged, and humbled I am by the support that my campaign has received. Your continued support is critical to this campaign’s success on Election Day. We have many voters yet to reach, so please let us know how you can help and consider making a financial contribution to my campaign.

Many thanks,

Matt

As March 2nd approaches, more and more Texans are determining who we will support on Election Day. And as we learn about the candidates, the more we realize that our vote will be determining the future of our great state.

In the race for Republican State Representative in District 99, we have two choices. We can vote for the incumbent who supports status quo government — leading to more taxes, fewer jobs, excessive spending, bigger bureaucracy, less liberty, and failing schools.
Or we can cast our ballot for a new direction for Texas — a Texas controlled by the people and the values that you and I share.
For a new direction, we will vote for the Responsible Conservative. We will vote for Matt Krause.

I am Matt Krause, and I am asking for your vote!

I want to go to the Texas Capitol to bring state government back to the people.
I want to go to the Capitol to create well-paying jobs in District 99 and throughout the great state of Texas by reducing taxes, which strain our household budgets and force job-creating small businesses from our state.
I want to go to the Capitol to improve our schools so that every child can reach their full potential.
And I want to go to the Capitol to defend and restore every Texan’s God-given liberties.
I am ready to go to the Capitol to represent the interests of Northwest Tarrant County!

Recently, Conservative and Republican organizations have examined the Republican candidates in District 99. Overwhelmingly, these Conservative and Republican organizations have been honoring me with their support.
Young Conservatives of Texas, a grassroots organization that issues the most respected ratings of state legislators, has endorsed my candidacy.
Tarrant County’s “Republican Wing of the Republican Party,” the Tarrant County Republican Assembly, has endorsed my candidacy.
Concerned Women for America of Texas Legislative Action Committee, an organization devoted to bringing Biblical principles to all levels of public policy, has endorsed my candidacy.
And this past weekend, I won — for District 99 — the Tarrant County Conservative Candidate Fair and Straw Poll sponsored by the Tarrant Republican Club, the 912 Project Fort Worth, the Conservative Hispanic Society, the HEART of Texas Homeschool, the NE Tarrant Tea Party, and the Keller Boiling Point Tea Party.

As the momentum of our campaign for Responsible Conservatism continues to grow, Election Day approaches at warp speed. Please consider joining these proud Texans in support of the Conservative candidate in District 99. There are many ways to help.

You can count on me to stand up for what is truly important to District 99! I am a Christian, Husband, Father, Conservative, and a Republican. I will not sacrifice principle for politics, and I value results over rhetoric. In my work as a Constitutional attorney, I defend the core principles that Texas was built upon—the sanctity of human life, the traditional family, and religious liberties. I will not forget that the first responsibility of elected officials is to protect freedom, not to grow government and reduce liberty.

When you cast your March 2nd Republican Ballot, please remember that Matt Krause is the only choice for the Responsible, Conservative, and Republican Leadership that Texas needs now more than ever. I ask for your support.

Thank you for your consideration, and let us begin to build a better tomorrow,

Matt

Why is my campaign about Responsible Conservatism? Because when red-blooded Texans in Northwest Tarrant County cast their ballots for State Representative they expect – and deserve – principled, conservative, and responsible Republican representation in Austin.

Northwest Tarrant County rightly expects their State Representative to be present to vote.
Northwest Tarrant County rightly expects their State Representative to share their common-sense conservative principles.
And Northwest Tarrrant County rightly expects their State Representative to vote for what is best for Northwest Tarrant County – not for liberal Austin, not for fat-cat special interests, and not for check-slinging lobbyists.

As Young Conservatives of Texas’ (YCT) recently released 81st Session Legislative Ratings shows, Charlie Geren has “gone Austin” and forgotten what’s truly important to Northwest Tarrant County – better schools, well-paying jobs, fewer taxes, more efficient government, family values, and the protection of our God-given liberties.

Charlie has let down conservative Republicans in District 99 – YCT scored Charlie as only 59% conservative for his performance in the 81st Session – and Charlie remains one of three “Certifiable RINO’s” (Republican-In-Name-Only) in the Texas State House. And though he received a failing score this session, Charlie’s 59% score is better than his average. Charlie’s career conservative score from YCT is only 55%.

A 55% conservative score is low. And it is low because time and time again, Charlie has voted against liberty and common-sense conservative principles.

In the 81st session:

Charlie voted FOR restricting and criminalizing free speech (Record Vote #89 and Record Vote #887).
Charlie voted FOR paying state employees with public funds while they volunteered (Record Vote #329).
Charlie voted FOR taking power away from elected officials and letting bureaucrats play political games with our children’s education (Record Vote #332).
Charlie voted AGAINST letting parents decide how and where is best for their children to learn (Record Vote #178).
Charlie voted AGAINST allowing probation officers to exercise their 2nd Amendment rights while on the job (Record Vote #744).

These are just a few of the bad votes that caused Charlie’s failing score and caused Young Conservatives of Texas to declare Charlie Geren a “Certifiable RINO.”

The Vice Chairman of Legislative Affairs for YCT, Tony McDonald, said, “Voters should keep this [RINO's scorecard] in mind as these candidates campaign as ‘Republicans’.”

When discussing this race with family and friends and as you go to the ballot box on March 2nd, I ask you to remember Charlie’s record. And remember that a vote for Matt Krause is a vote for Responsible Conservatism.

Texas House District 99 is ready for – and deserves – to be represented by someone with conservative principles who will vote accordingly.

Every day, more and more Texans are joining our campaign and making a commitment to better schools, well-paying jobs, fewer taxes, more efficient government, common-sense values, and the protection of our God-given liberties.

We have a tremendous opportunity to reverse Austin politicians’ failed policies that are driving jobs from our state, raising our tax bills, reducing the quality of our schools, and putting our families’ safety at risk.

Together, we will seize this opportunity and restore responsible conservatism to the Texas legislature!

We have much to do over the next two months, but together, we will restore responsible conservatism as a sacred principle in the Texas Capitol.

Thank you for your support,
